Can you fly like a bird by saying certain words? Or change ordinary metals into gold with a potion? Or cause a rainstorm by dancing in a special way? Of course not—that would be magic!

Few people believe in magic anymore… but today, in the celebration of Holy child educational center’s 15 glorious years, we will be immersed in the realm of magic. Today…. We can daringly say to the non-believers: LET THE MAGIC BEGIN!

So, let’s brace ourselves for the beginning of magic in HCEC: the MAGICAL PARADE!

Introduction : PRIMER Magical HCEC

Long ago, before science developed, most people believed in magic. They thought supernatural forces connected different parts of the world. They believed some people, called sorcerers and witches, had magical powers. They could use special chants, spells, or charms to call on supernatural forces and make wonderful—or terrible—things happen.

In those days, magic and religion blended together. For many people, spells and rituals (special ceremonies) were a part of their religious beliefs. They believed that if certain spells or rituals were performed the right way, the gods or spirits would grant their wishes.

The first priests were religious magicians called shamans. Ancient hunting and gathering people looked to shamans to help them survive. They believed shamans had the power to heal the sick. Shamans were thought to communicate with the spiritual world. They led rituals to make hunting expeditions successful, keep crops growing, and prevent disasters. As civilization advanced, such ideas were left behind.

Today, we will resurrect magic in Holy Child Educational Center. Yet doing so is not an easy task. We need fairies to do that. At this point, we will summon one of the most powerful fairies in the land, ____________________________ to give us his/her welcome address.

III. Welcome Address

Look to your left! Ten elephants are walking around a ring on their hind legs! To the right, three small cars loaded with clowns are driving around in circles! Between the elephants and clowns, high above the floor, a woman swings and spins in the air!

You guessed it—the circus is in town!

WHAT IS A CIRCUS?

A circus is a show that includes a variety of entertaining acts. It’s usually a traveling show that moves from town to town. Circuses perform in an arena or under a big tent. Most circus acts take place in a round area called a ring.

What will you see at a circus? Well, you might see acrobats, jugglers, and tightrope walkers. You might see elephants parading, tigers jumping through flaming hoops, or skilled horseback riders performing tricks. You certainly will see clowns, and lots of them! Throughout the show, a circus band plays lively music.

As part of the magical world, the circus is now in town…in Holy Child Educational Center

IV. Circus and Clowns presentations

Who doesn’t love a fairy tale? You may think you’ve outgrown them. But fairy tales such as “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and “Beauty and the Beast” remain favorite stories for readers of all ages.

The stars of many fairy tales are supernatural beings called fairies. Fairies usually take human form, but they can also fly. They have magic powers and generally act kindly toward human beings, like Cinderella’s fairy godmother.

Fairy tales may have elves, goblins, gremlins, brownies, pixies, or other unusual beings instead of fairies. The stories may feature such creatures as witches and talking animals like the wolf in “Little Red Riding Hood.”

Fairy tales generally take place in a far-off time and place. They typically begin, “Once upon a time.” In the land of fairy tales, magical happenings are everyday occurrences.Goodness is rewarded, and evil is punished. The traditional closing line of a fairy tale is, “and they lived happily ever after.”

Today, fairies just came to HCEC to celebrate …. Here they are in their fairy dance…

MAGIC FOR FUN

Few people believe in magic anymore. Yet many still enjoy magic shows. Stage magicians are popular entertainers. Magicians appear to do the impossible, such as make objects disappear or float in the air. Audiences know the magic isn’t real, but even so, they enjoy being baffled. How do magicians do it?

Another unbelievable things are stories about mythical creatures, such as dragons, unicorns, and mermaids. Before the days of airplanes and cameras, nobody could be sure what wild beasts might live in lands far away. Even now we are not exactly sure what lives at the bottom of the sea or on top of the highest mountains.

Travelers used to come home with tales of extraordinary creatures. Some tales were true and some were false. People laughed at the idea of a giraffe before they had seen one. On the other hand, there was a time when almost everyone thought that dragons were real.

There are so many mysteries in this life. Magic can happen anytime anywhere. It doesn’t really matter as long as we grow from every magical experience in our lives.

Friends, this is Wizard Dominic and Enchantress Neneth… saying

“THE GREATEST MAGIC LIES WITHIN US.”

Let the magic begin!!!

We are now inviting you to a magical lunch! Bon apetit!
