Royal Highness Script 2007

Coronation of Royal Highness

Primer: The Glory that is Holy Child Empire

Year 1992.

Amidst the world of computers,

nintendos and virtual reality elements

burgeoning rapidly with globalization ,

chaos and uncertainty painted

the face of the beautiful world…

bringing into focus a vague future

where creatures will be forever swallowed by techno craps

emerging from the suffocating soot of industrialization…

as new technology emerges,

and as the new one

becomes more mesmerizing as the last--

it is easy enough to forget the basics

which counts the most in this life

like freedom

loyalty

friendships

joy

love

and peace

simple stuff which draw the line

between man and machine

simple, precious entities

that build the foundation of humanity

and make life worth living.

It is in this blessed year

That a humble, brilliant grain of thought

Traveled from a distant galaxy

And revealed itself to a fairy godmother.

Swift as a lightning… that grain of thought

Stuck,

Struck!

And settled.

Just like a noble seed, it germinated

First on the humble plains of Nabua

And later on

As its leaves and branches grew---

Finally settled on the terra firma

Between the gentle plains of Nabua and Iriga

Years passed…

And the falling leaves

witnessed the struggle of this humble thought

Against the test of time

Among famine and feast…

Victory and defeat…

Darkness and light

The seed which now have grown into a full castle

Stands proudly

Its turrets gleaming majestically

against the blazing sun,

Its base, standing firm on a bountiful ground,

While its powerful arms wave the regal banner that reads:

THE HOLY CHILD EDUCATIONAL CENTER EMPIRE!

For fifteen years,

the empire embraced young boys and girls

who thirst for golden thoughts---

eager young charges

who yearned for the human touch

faithful learners

who hungered for ultimate answers

to questions that crowd their inquisitive minds

and HCEC’s motherly touch

made all of these a reality.

Fifteen years since…

The HCECians, royal and subjects alike

Hearts bursting with unfathomable joy

Celebrate a decade and a half of academic excellence

And in molding productive persons

Who find pleasure in sharing with others

In living in harmony with Mother Nature

While getting in touch with the cyberworld.

Tonight, February 17, 2007

another dynasty is to reveal itself

Tonight, billions of stars will look upon us with bright,

Sparkling eyes

While sharing their intermittent glitter

As they witness the crowning of

Almond Nicholas P. Turiano

&

Pauline Antonette B. Cooper

And their royal subjects in the empire.

On this enchanted evening

Creatures in the empire---

From the butterflies in the meadows

Up to the eagle perched on the mountaintop

Brace themselves in anticipation

Of something magical

Which any moment might take place…

Nutrition Mopnth Celebration Script

Nutrition Month Celebration

The Holy Child Educational Center is indeed thankful of this opportunity to celebrate life through the Ecology Month and the Nutrition Month. Since the beginning of July, we were all made aware of how important our health and our environment to our lives as human beings. Some of the days witnessed health consciousness movement in and out of the classroom by the faculty members, dental campaigns headed by our resident dentist, old newspaper crusade, ecology and nutrition quiz bee, spelling bees, cookfest, essay writing contest, poster making and all the works designed for our health and environment awareness drive. Today, we will be witnessing the culmination of a month-long activity with a blast as we punctuate our worthy endeavors with the much awaited Ecology fashion show which will showcase the creative designs of our Young couturiers from the Level VI, to be enlivened by the bands coming from all levels in their own Tunog-kusina rendition.

We surely have our hands full this afternoon, fellow HCECians. So, let’s brace ourselves as we prove once again that we have healthy minds in our healthy bodies.. or as they say in latin: MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO!

Let’s all rise to acknowledge the Our Almighty Father who made us His perfect creations through an invocation to be led by Mdm Lorilyn Guevara

Valentines Ball Script 2006

What is love? This is an age old question which never seem to fail in evoking varied reactions.

And though we fancy knowing what the word really means or claim that it’s present in our daily lives, this abstract word seem to take a fresh value when February arrives.

Ah yes. February. The Month when we are supposed to be doubly reminded of love. Truly , three days ago, we experienced a shower of flowers, chocolates , hearts , gifts and well meant greetings in different languages: Ti Amo, I love you, Watashiwa Anata, Ich liebe dich, Iniibig Kita, Gwa Ay Di..

.

So they say in French: L'amour, l'amour fait tourner le monde [It's love, it's love that makes the world go round]. Tonight, we will be immersed in the cocoon of our loving school’s embrace as we celebrate this post valentine presentation.

Welcome to the Valentines Ball 2006,set under the canopy of the Holy Child Educational Center’s 14th Foundation Anniversary. Ladies and gentlemen, THE PROCESSIONAL

VOICE OVER with music

To express our love for our nation, let’s all join in the singing of THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ANTHEM.

To formally welcome us to this occasion, may we call Mdm. Dulia L. Gonowon.

Thank you, Madam for that warm welcome. We are now approaching the essence of this celebration. Friends, the pageant members in their opening dance presentation.

WALTZ (The Blue Danube and Emperor Waltz)

That was a marvelous production number! Quite something to remember.

Speaking of which, we are reminded that a month from now, these pretty young ladies and dashing young gentlemen will be leaving the portals of our beloved school. They are now at the treshold of another chapter in their lives. Not fit to be called children anymore…. But the citizens whom Rizal was so fond of exalting: THE YOUTH.

ENTRANCE OF THE YOUTH (Elaine Prades)

John Alan Appleman articulated:

I have heard it said that the first ingredient of success - the earliest spark in the dreaming youth - is this: dream a great dream.

But it isn’t enough to dream. One has to struggle for the realization of that dream. At present, young people has more challenges to hurdle: with cyber technological age added to the long list of trials usually facing youth.

No wonder, the youth is a great mass of nerves: Bewildered ..Confused. How will he/ she cope? And so, his/ her journey begins, in search for something… and she chanced upon the wind…

WIND SPEAKS

But the youth is not convinced. There has to be more than this, and then, she came upon the water

WATER SPEAKS

Bemused, the youth continued her search, and met lady fire…

FIRE SPEAKS

Dazed but still hopeful, the youth continued her journey… with a flash of inspiration, it occurred to her that what she may be looking for may not be far… thus, she found Mother Earth.

MOTHER EARTH SPEAKS

YOUTH ANSWERS

Mother Earth: Go forth … Mother Philippines awaits you.

MOTHER PHILIPPINES BLESSES YOUTH

Mother Philippines: You are almost done, but first, your Alma Mater is waiting for you. She will bestow her blessings.

ALMA MATER BLESSES YOUTH.

Youth:

Thank you, Mother Earth, Mother Philippines and Dear Alma Mater, I depart with an assurance…

That I’ll be what I should be… the hope of my motherland!

Thus, the youth set upon a fruitful journey… ready to face the challenges that may block her way… and as she heads off, she met her mentors … to wish her luck in her adventures.

DANCE WITH THE FACULTY AND STAFF

As youth departs, she realizes

that one things more has to be done: turn over her responsibilities.

TURN OVER CEREMONIES

Now that tasks have been given to capable hands,

youth braces himself /herself for the ballroom dance.

BALLROOM DANCE

Swing

Tango

Cha-cha-cha

What’s in store for the youth 20 years from now, we’ll see

In Adrian Paul’s delivery of the class prophecy.

CLASS PROPHECY

It is better to light just one little candle, than to stumble in the dark… Light could represent our guides in life…. Our parents, our teachers, our friends, our school administrators and even our competitors. Let’s keep our lights shining so we will not be led astray.
